Situated in Zone 5, Sutton is less than 30 minutes by train from central London, and south and south west London are easily accessible by public transport. There are 10 train stations which serve key neighbourhoods within the borough providing direct connections to London Victoria, London Bridge, London Blackfriars and St Pancras International. Sutton also has direct rail connections with Epsom, Dorking, Guildford and Horsham, as well as Wimbledon for an interchange with the London Underground and West Croydon for the London Overground. There’s also an extensive road network which provides close and easy access to the M25 and M23.

Clinical Health Team Manager - Adult Services

Grade 10 – £52,929 - £61,491 (£63,684 unconsolidated maximum)

Team Managers in Adult Services receive a Welcome Bonus of £1000 paid as par of the first month's salary.

Whole package totals up to £64,684

Team Managers are able to work flexibly between home and work to meet the needs of the service, as we recognise the benefits of a hybrid model of working.

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a qualified health professional to lead our Clinical Health Team for people with learning disabilities.  Our approach is strength-based and we aim to achieve the best outcomes - enabling  people to be safe, as independent as possible and to live the lives they want.

In this role you will manage a multidisciplinary team of nurses and therapists, facilitating access to mainstream health services and providing health clinical intervention directly for those for whom this is not an option.  You will also contribute to prevention and health facilitation, in order to deliver the goals set out in our Learning Disability Strategy, and contribute safeguarding.

Within our boroughwide health and social care service for people with learning disabilities there are two Social Work teams - one for young people aged 18-25 and one for older adults.   Staff work closely with colleagues from the LD Clinical Health Team, children services and other local partners to achieve a smooth transition to adulthood and to support independence, wellbeing and choice.

Successful candidates will lead their team to deliver against our statutory duties and local targets. As a subject matter expert, you must have an in-depth understanding of the current legislation, regulations, and guidance. You will be able support staff to be creative and innovative in their approach, whilst managing your own time effectively, evidencing outcomes and completing tasks within tight deadlines. You will also be able to assure the quality of work delivered by your team.  

In addition, we would expect the successful candidate to demonstrate the following competences:

  • You must have extensive experience of delivering health services to this user group and share our commitment to reducing inequalities in wellbeing.
