Horticulture Part Time Tutor

Sutton College is in the process of growing the Floristry and Gardening Department. We have experienced much demand for horticultural courses so, there will be opportunity for any new member of staff to grow with us and be integral to the expansion of the department. You will be required to plan, prepare, teach and assess non accredited and the City and Guilds qualification at level 1 providing support and guidance to your learners as they progress through their studies.

Specialist knowledge in a field of horticulture is necessary, which may be enhanced by any relevant industry / professional experience, as well as a formal qualification that underpins your knowledge. We need you to be a team player and an excellent communicator, able to maintain a proactive approach and an eye for detail whilst working to challenging deadlines.

Teaching experience, particularly within Adult Education, would be advantageous but is not essential. Likewise, although a full teaching qualification (at Level 3 or above) is not required at this stage, you would need to secure this within 1 year of appointment.
